Zurich and its Beautiful Surroundings Afternoon Tour

This tour is perfect for those who wish to combine culture with nature!

You will see the main sights of Zurich including the world-famous shopping and business center on Bahnhofstrasse, the Limmatquai with its medieval Old Town with view to the Lindenhof, where the brave women of Zurich saved the town from the invaders, see the largest church clock-face of Europe on St. Peter, the patriarchal Guild Houses, the National Museum, the Opera house with its famous June-Festivals and the China Garden. Short picture stop at the harbor where you enjoy incredible views of Lake Zurich, the city and surrounding hills, as well as the University.

Continue to the Grossmunster (picture stop) one of the most magnificent constructions of Zurich with the late roman cloister (visit is optional). The south tower of the Cathedral is crowned by a colossal statue of Charlemagne (Karl the Great) seated with a sword across his knees. The journey continues to Adliswil for a ride by cable car to the viewpoint Felsenegg (2600 ft / 800 m) from where you enjoy a spectacular view over Zurich, the lake and the white peaks of the Alps. Lovely ride on the ferry-boat across Lake Zurich and interesting bus drive back to the city, along the so-called ‘Golden Coast’, with its gorgeous mansions on the shores of Lake Zurich.

If you are traveling on December 25 (Christmas Day) receive a free Gluhwein (hot wine with spices) and Christmas cookies on board the Felsenegg.
